The Vikoma Enviro Skimmer is a weir skimmer working alongside a filtration system designed to recover floating nurdles, plastics as well as weed and grasses from shorelines, rivers, canals and ponds.

Plastics pollution such as spilt nurdles are becoming an increasing global problem, as is duckweed and water fern growth. They can cover the entire surface of the water if not managed properly, blocking out light to submerged aquatic plants and reducing levels of oxygen in water which is a problem for fish and other wildlife. 

Our Enviro skimmer is an easy way to remove floating plastic nurdles or weed and grasses to clear the water surface.  The debris (nurdles, plastics, weed and grasses etc.) are recovered by the skimmer’s weir action and collected into an efficient filtration/collection system, draining the water for return to the canal, river, pond or lake.  Collected nurdles/plastics can be recycled and weeds and grasses can be collected and composted or disposed of, as desired.
